「刀姿 sword figure」
鎬造り庵棟、身幅重尋常、鳥居反り中鋒。茎は生で鑢目は筋違い、茎尻は栗尻。
「地鉄 jigane」
地鉄は板目肌が流れ心と成り、地沸付く。
「刃紋 hamon」
刃紋は沸出来の互の目、飛び焼きを見せ、刃縁沸付き砂流しかかる。刃中は葉が入り、金筋が働く。釯子は乱れ込み小丸に返る。
「特徴 detailed」
讃州住鬚継（さんしゅうじゅうひげつぐ）は、江戸時代初期の寛文頃に活躍した讃岐（現在の香川県）の刀工で、阿波や播磨でも作刀したことが知られています。銘は「髭」「髭作」「髭継」などと切ることもあります。
本作は、鑑定書では「寛文」とされていますが、刃長が76cmあることから、どちらかといえば寛永期の姿をしています。
地鉄はよく詰んだ板目肌で、働きのある互の目を焼いた見事な出来です。刀身・拵ともにコンディションは良好です。
讃州住鬚継の作品は非常に稀少で貴重な一振りです。ぜひこの機会にコレクションへお加えください。
Sanshu-ju Hizutsugi was a swordsmith from Sanuki (present-day Kagawa Prefecture) active in the early Edo period around the Kanbun era. He is also known to have forged swords in Awa and Harima. He sometimes signed his works simply as “Hige,” “Hige-saku,” or “Higetsugu.”
Although the NBTHK appraisal designates this piece as “Kanbun period,” its blade length of 76 cm gives it more the appearance of a Kan’ei-period sword.
The jigane is a well-forged, tightly packed itame-hada, and the blade features an active gunome hamon. Both the blade and the koshirae are in good condition.
Works by Sanshū-jū Hizutsugi are extremely rare and valuable. Do not miss this opportunity to add such a piece to your collection.

切羽(seppa) :素銅地銀着。
鍔(tsuba) ：鉄地長丸形日輪の図。
縁頭(fhchikashira)：赤銅魚子地恵比寿大国の図。
目貫(menuki) ：赤銅地金色絵桐紋の図。
柄(tsuka) ：鮫は巻鮫。柄巻は正絹黒の諸撮み巻。
鞘(saya) ：黒呂。
