「刀姿 sword figure」
鎬造り庵棟、身幅太く重尋常、鳥居反り大鋒。茎は生で筋違い鑢がかかる、茎尻は刃上がりの栗尻。
「彫物 carving」
彫り物は、片チリの棒樋が鎺下に掻き流し。
「地鉄 jigane」
地鉄は、小板目が良く詰み地景入り、地沸付く。
「刃紋 hamon」
刃紋は、湾れ刃で刃縁沸が付き砂流しかかり、刃中は金筋が入る。釯子は乱れ込み小丸に返る。
「特徴 detailed」
伊勢国桑名住三品廣道、江戸時代後期の勢州桑名の刀工、本名は三品藤右衛門、九代目陸奥守大道・三品又右衛門の実弟。嘉永から慶応にかけての作品が有る。また伊賀上野にても作刀しています。
本作、江戸時代後期の文久三年に特注で作られた刀です。驚く事に刃長が二尺七寸四分半有り、大鋒の豪壮な姿です。
拵は、特別貴重小道具、家紋散鞘刀拵で、幕末にこの刀と共に作られた物です。
このような長い刀で、オリジナルの拵が付属した物は少なく、大変貴重です。
Ise no kuni Kuwana ju Mishina Hiromichi was a swordsmith active in Kuwana, Seishū, during the late Edo period. His real name was Mishina Tōuemon, and he was the younger brother of Mishina Mataemon, the ninth-generation Mutsu-no-Kami Daidō. He produced works from the Kaei to Keiō eras and also forged swords in Iga Ueno.
This particular piece was specially commissioned in Bunkyu 3 (1863), in the late Edo period. Remarkably, it has a blade length of 2 shaku 7 sun 4 bu and a half (approximately 83 cm), displaying a magnificent and imposing style with a large kissaki.
The koshirae features exceptionally valuable fittings, with a saya decorated with a scattered family crest design, crafted together with the sword in the Bakumatsu era.
Swords of such length accompanied by their original koshirae are extremely rare and highly valuable.
「拵 Koshirae」
特別貴重小道具・家紋散鞘刀拵、白鞘、つなぎ。コンディションは良いです。
ハバキ(habaki) ：素銅地金着一重の腰祐乗。
鍔(tsuba) ：鉄地木売鍔。
縁頭・鯉口金具・鐺(futikasira Koikuchi Kojiri)：鉄地一作金具（図柄は不明）。
目貫(menuki) ：素銅地金色絵鞘の図。
柄(tsuka) ：鮫革の上に、正絹黒の糸で一貫巻。
鞘(saya) ：黒石目鞘、棕櫚と丸に三引の家紋が黒蒔絵で描かれる。
