「刀姿 sword figure」
鎬造り庵棟、身幅重尋常、鳥居反り中峰。茎は生で鑢目は切、茎尻は栗尻。
「彫物 carving」
彫物は差表に二筋樋、差裏に護摩箸と梵字が彫られる。
「地鉄 jigane」
地鉄は板目肌が流れ、柾がかった精美な鍛えに、地沸微塵に厚く付く。
「刃紋 hamon」
刃紋は互の目で匂口明るく冴え足良く入り、砂流しかかり、刃中は金筋が入る。帽子は乱れ込小丸に返る。
「特徴 detailed」
肥前国住一吉（本名：中尾一吉）は、佐賀県武雄市在住の刀匠です。彼は、堀井俊秀の弟子であった父・中尾忠次刀匠に師事しました。
一吉刀匠は、一文字、肥前国忠吉、源清麿などの写しを得意とし、数打ちは一切せず、その作品は非常に希少で高く評価されています。
また、新作刀展では、優秀賞2回、奨励賞2回、努力賞4回、その他多数の入賞歴を誇る、現代を代表する名工です。
本作は特注で作られた刀と思われます。精緻に鍛えられた地鉄に、見事な互の目の刃文を焼き、表裏に彫られた美しい彫物とのバランスが最高の一本です。
Hizen no Kuni-ju Kazuyoshi, whose real name is Kazuyoshi Nakao, is a swordsmith residing in Takeo City, Saga Prefecture. He trained under his father, swordsmith Tadayuki Nakao, who was a disciple of Horii Toshihide.
Kazuyoshi Nakao is known for his masterful reproductions of Ichimonji, Hizen no Kuni Tadayoshi, and Minamoto Kiyomaro swords. He does not engage in mass production, making his works rare and highly sought after.
He is a distinguished modern swordsmith, having won multiple awards at the New Sword Exhibition, including two Excellence Awards, two Encouragement Awards, four Effort Awards, and numerous other honors.
This piece is believed to be a custom-made sword. It features a finely forged jigane with a beautifully executed gunome hamon. The balance between the exquisite carvings on both sides of the blade and the overall design is truly exceptional.
