「刀姿 sword figure」
体配は鎬造り庵棟、身幅太く重厚く、鳥居反り大鋒。茎は生で筋違い鑢がかかり、茎尻は栗尻となる。
「彫物 carving」
彫り物は片チリの棒樋がハバキ下で掻き流しに成る。
「地鉄 jigane」
地鉄は小板目肌が良く練れて良く積んだ黒味のある地鉄に、地沸良く付く。
「刃紋 hamon」
刃紋は重花丁子刃で足が良く入り、刃中稲妻が走る。帽子は乱れこみ小丸に返る。
「特徴 detailed」
この刀は、刀匠・兼嗣と宣廣の合作と伝えられていますが、実際には兼嗣刀匠が単独で製作したものです。
赤松太郎兼嗣（本名：木村兼定）は、八代市二見町に在住し、父・兼重刀匠のもとで鍛刀を学びました。弟には兼裕刀匠と兼照刀匠が、息子には兼光刀匠と兼幸刀匠がいます。
木村家は、人吉藩の相良家に仕えたお抱え鍛冶の系譜を受け継ぐ家柄であり、兼定刀匠はその家の当主として赤松太郎木村一門を率いています。
また、彼は自ら製鉄を行い、自家製の玉鋼を用いて作刀しており、その玉鋼は日本美術刀剣保存協会（日刀保）から配布されるものとはやや趣を異にしています。
本作は、長年ある刀剣店の金庫に保管されていた未仕上げの刀身を、弊社にて仕上げた儀平屋オリジナルの新作刀です。
もともと居合用として製作された刀身だけに、非常に軽量でバランスに優れています。拵の金具類は、龍と獅噛（しがみ）の意匠で統一されています。
本刀は、弊社オリジナルの復活居合用真剣シリーズ第三弾として製作されたもので、ご購入後すぐに居合でご使用いただけます。
his sword is said to be a collaboration between swordsmiths Kanetsugu and Nobuhiro, but in fact, it was crafted solely by Kanetsugu himself.
Akamatsu Tarō Kanetsugu, whose real name is Kimura Kanesada, resides in Futami Town, Yatsushiro City. He studied swordsmithing under his father, Kaneshige. His younger brothers are Kaneyasu and Kaneteru, and his sons are Kanemitsu and Kaneyuki.
The Kimura family descends from the official swordsmiths who served the Sagara clan of the Hitoyoshi domain. As the head of the family, Kanesada leads the Akamatsu Tarō Kimura lineage.
He produces his own tamahagane (traditional Japanese steel) through self-operated iron smelting, resulting in steel that differs slightly in character from that distributed by the NBTHK (Society for the Preservation of Japanese Art Swords).
This piece is an original Giheiya new work, completed by our company using an unfinished blade that had long been stored in a sword shop’s vault.
As expected from a blade originally forged for iaido, it is lightweight and exceptionally well-balanced. The fittings of the koshirae feature dragon and shishigami (lion-biting) motifs.
This is the third installment in our company’s revived series of original iaido shinken (live blades). It is ready for immediate use in iaido upon purchase.

ハバキ(habaki) ：銀無垢一重の庄内鎺。
鍔(tsuba) ：鉄地記内龍。
縁頭(futikasira)：銀地美濃龍。
鐺(Kojiri) : 銀地美濃龍。
目貫(menuki) ：銀無垢獅噛。
柄(tsuka) ：鮫は親粒が付き巻鮫。柄巻きは豚表革の諸捻り巻き。
鞘(saya) ：黒石目。
