「刀姿 sword figure」
鎬造り庵棟、身幅太く重尋常、鳥居反り大鋒。茎は生で化粧鑢がかかり、茎尻は栗尻と成る。
「地鉄 jigane」
地鉄は小板目肌が良く詰み、地沸付く。
「刃紋 hamon」
刃紋は沸出来の互の目、刃緑細かな沸が付き足入り、刃中は葉入り金筋が働く。釯子は刃紋成りに入り小丸に返る。
「特徴 detailed」
源盛篤（みなもと もりあつ）、本名・藤田新一氏は、1934年（昭和9年）生まれで、鹿児島県薩摩郡さつま町に在住しています。金剛兵衛盛高の流れを汲む現代薩摩鍛冶の第一人者であり、初代盛篤に師事し、また金剛兵衛盛高からも教えを受けました。新作刀展では数多くの賞を受賞しています。
この刀は特注で製作されたもので、白鞘に納められていました。そのため、居合や試し斬りで使用されたことはありませんが、長年手入れがされていなかったため、薄い錆やヒケ（細かな傷）が見られます。元の白鞘は傷んでいたため、新たに拵（こしらえ）を誂えました。
当初は研磨してから販売しようと考えていましたが、現状でも試斬用としては十分使用可能と判断し、このままの状態で販売することにしました。刀身は身幅が広く、大きな鋒（きっさき）を備えた堂々たる姿をしており、研ぎ直せば素晴らしい一振りになる可能性を秘めています。
Minamoto Moriatsu, whose real name is Shinichi Fujita, was born in 1934 (Showa 9) and resides in Satsuma Town, Satsuma District, Kagoshima Prefecture. He is a leading figure among modern Satsuma swordsmiths, inheriting the tradition of Kongobe Moritaka. He studied under the first-generation Moriatsu and also learned from Kongobe Moritaka himself. He has won numerous awards at the New Sword Exhibitions.
This particular piece was custom-made and kept in a shirasaya (plain wooden storage scabbard). As such, it has never been used for iaido or tameshigiri (test cutting), but due to a lack of maintenance, there are some light rust spots and minor scratches. The original shirasaya was damaged, so a new koshirae (mounting) was made.
Initially, I considered having it polished before offering it for sale, but since it can still be used for test cutting in its current condition, I decided to offer it as-is. The blade features a wide body and a large kissaki, giving it a powerful and imposing appearance. With a proper polish, it has the potential to become an exceptional piece.

拵は新品です（金具類も全て新品）。
ハバキ(habaki) ：銀無垢二重。
鍔(tsuba) ：鉄地龍影透かし。
縁頭(futikasira)：銀地肥後石目地（土方）。
目貫(menuki) ：龍の図
柄(tsuka) ：柄巻きは正絹黒の諸捻り巻き。
鞘(saya) ：黒呂。
