「刀姿 sword figure」
鎬造り庵棟、身幅重共尋常、鳥居反り、中鋒。茎は磨り揚げられ、鑢目は筋違い、茎尻は一文字に切られる。
「地鉄 jigane」
地鉄は、小板目肌に杢目肌が混じりよく練れて地沸が厚くつき地景がよく入り、ざんぐりとして肌立ち柾に流れる。
「刃紋 hamon」
刃紋は、湾れに互の目が混じる、明るく冴えた見事な刃紋で、刃縁には沸が付き、砂流しかかり、刃中に金筋が働く。釯子は乱れ込み小丸に返る。
「特徴 detailed」
出羽大掾藤原国路は、堀川国広の最も著名な弟子の一人であり、高齢まで作刀を続けたため、比較的多くの遺作が現存しています。
彼は1576年頃（天正4年）に生まれ、最晩年の作は1657年頃（明暦3年）と考えられています。作刀時代は慶長から寛文にかけて続き、初めは「國道」と名乗っていましたが、1614年から1615年（慶長19～20年）の間に「出羽大掾」の受領を受けたと推測されています。
本作は磨り上げが施されており、茎には「出羽」の銘のみが残っていますが、出羽大掾国路の銘であると考えられます。
刀身の出来は素晴らしく、精緻に鍛えられた地鉄に、美しい互の目乱れの刃文を焼いています。
現時点では鑑定書は付属していませんが、鑑定に出してみる価値のある脇差です。
Dewa Daijo Fujiwara Kunimichi was the most renowned disciple of Horikawa Kunihiro. He continued swordsmithing into old age, resulting in a relatively large number of surviving works.
He was born around 1576 (Tensho 4), and his latest known works date to around 1657 (Meireki 3). His sword-making career spanned from the Keicho period through the Kanbun period. Initially, he signed as “Kunitō,” but it is believed that he received the title “Dewa Daijo” between 1614 and 1615 (Keicho 19–20).
This piece has been suriage (shortened), leaving only the inscription “Dewa” on the tang, which is believed to be part of the signature of Dewa Daijo Kunimichi.
The blade is well-crafted, featuring a beautifully forged jigane with a remarkable gunome-midare hamon.
Although there is no accompanying certificate at present, this wakizashi is certainly worth submitting for appraisal.
｢拵 Koshirae｣
拵のコンディションは、概ね良好です。
ハバキ(habaki) ：素銅地金着一重の岩石鎺。
鍔(Tsuba) ：鉄地丸形雪花紋影透かし。
縁頭(FuchiKashira) ：鉄地岩山の図。
目貫(menuki) ：山椒の図。
柄(Tsuka) ：柄巻は正絹黒の諸捻り巻。
鞘(Saya) ：黒呂。

研：古研ぎですが、概ね良好です。
傷：欠点に成るような傷は有りません。
