「刀姿 sword figure」
鎬造り庵棟、身幅重尋常、鳥居反り中鋒。茎は生で鷹羽鑢がかかる、茎尻は栗尻。
Shinogi-zukuri with an iori-mune; the mihaba and kasane are of standard proportions, with torii-zori and a chū-kissaki.
The nakago is ubu with takaha-yasurime, and the nakago-jiri is kurijiri.
「地鉄 jigane」
地鉄は板目肌が刃緑付近で流れ柾と成り、地沸付く。
The jigane shows itame-hada that becomes flowing and tends toward masame near the ha, with well-formed ji-nie.
「刃紋 hamon」
刃紋は、俗に三本杉と言われる尖り互の目、刃縁砂流しかかり、刃中は金筋が働く。釯子は乱れ込み小丸に返る。
The hamon is a pointed gunome pattern, commonly known as sanbonsugi. Sunagashi appears along the habuchi, and kinsuji are active within the ha.
The bōshi is midare-komi and turns back in a small maru.
「特徴 detailed」
傳助、銘鑑にて傳助は、室町時代（古刀）の島田一派にいるだけで、新刀にはいません。ただ銘はしっかりと切られているので偽銘ではなく、多分銘鑑漏れの刀工だと思われます。時代についてですが、銘に兼元七代と切っています、さらに寛永に活躍した田代源一兼元が孫六四代目なので、大体元禄ぐらいの刀工かと推察します。そうすると傳介は源一兼元の三代後の子孫かも知れません。
刀身の状態は錆も無く良好で、欠点に成るような傷は有りません。また付属する半太刀拵は凄くカッコ良く、コンディションも良いです。
コレクションに、また居合でも使えます。
Densuke appears in swordsmith directories only as a member of the Shimada school of the Muromachi period (kotō), and there are no records of him in the shintō period. However, since the signature is clearly and properly cut, it is not considered a false signature, and he is most likely a swordsmith omitted from the directories.
Regarding the period, the signature states “Kanemoto, seventh generation.” Furthermore, Tashiro Gen’ichi Kanemoto, who was active in the Kan’ei era, is known as the fourth-generation Magoroku Kanemoto. From this, it is estimated that Densuke was active around the Genroku era. If so, Densuke may have been a descendant three generations after Gen’ichi Kanemoto.
The blade is in good condition with no rust, and there are no flaws that would be considered defects. The accompanying han-dachi koshirae is very stylish and also in good condition.
It is suitable both for a collection and for use in iai.

ハバキ(habaki) ：素銅地金鍍金一重の腰祐乗。
鍔(tsuba) ：銀無垢魚子地赤銅覆輪の太刀鍔。
半太刀金具(hantachi-kanagu)：素銅石目地半太刀金具。
目貫(menuki) ：素銅地金鍍金の図。
柄(tsuka) ：鮫は巻鮫、柄巻は正絹黒の諸捻り巻。
鞘(saya) ：茶石目。
