「刀姿 sword figure」
鎬造り庵棟、身幅重尋常、鳥居反り中鋒。茎は生で化粧鑢がかかる、茎尻は栗尻。
「地鉄 jigane」
地鉄は小板目肌が良く詰み、地沸付く。
「刃紋 hamon」
刃紋は互の目丁子刃、尖り刃を交え、刃縁沸付き砂流しかかる。釯子は乱れ込み小丸に返る。
長寿（ながとし）、本名は大原忠蔵。羽前天童藩・織田家の家臣で、江戸麻布に住し、水心子正秀の門人です。銘は他に「水心子正秀長寿」「天童臣長寿」などとも切り、文政頃に活躍した江戸時代の刀工です。
本作は、地鉄・刃紋ともに優れた出来を示しています。古研ぎのためわずかに曇りがありますが、地肌・刃紋はしっかりと確認できます。
拵の状態も概ね良好で、鞘に割れなどもありません。抜き身のバランスが良く、居合にも使用できます。
Nagatoshi, whose real name was ohara Chuzo, served as a retainer of the Oda family of the Uzen Tendo domain. He lived in Azabu, Edo, and was a student of Suishinshi Masahide. He also signed his works as “Suishinshi Masahide Nagatoshi” or “Tendō-shin Nafatoshi.” He was an Edo-period swordsmith active around the Bunsei era.
This piece features an excellent jigane and hamon. Although the blade shows slight haze due to an old polish, the jihada and hamon remain clearly visible.
The koshirae is generally in good condition with no cracks in the saya. The blade has good balance when drawn and can also be used for Iaido.

ハバキ(habaki) ：癪銅地一重の縦鑢。
切羽(seppa) :銀無垢切羽。
鍔(tsuba) ：鉄地糸車透かし。
縁頭(fhchikashira)：四分一磨き地月に薄の図。
目貫(menuki) ：金地龍の図
柄(tsuka) ：柄巻は正絹黒の諸撮み巻。
鞘(saya) ：黒呂。
