「刀姿 sword figure」
鎬造り庵棟、身幅重尋常、鳥居反り中鋒。茎は大磨り揚げで、鑢目は浅い筋違い、茎尻は一文字に切られる。
「地鉄 jigane」
地鉄は板目肌に小板目が混じり、やや白気る。
「刃紋 hamon」
刃紋は沸出来の互の目、刃縁沸付き砂流しかかる。釯子は乱れ込み小丸に返る。
「特徴 detailed」
尾張関とは、古刀期から新刀期へと変遷する江戸時代初期の慶長頃に、美濃から尾張清州、その後名古屋に移住した刀工群をいう。彼らの中でも相模守政常、飛騨守氏房、伯耆守信高は尾張三工として有名です。
本作、元々は二尺四寸くらいの刃長が有った太刀だったと思われます。磨り揚げられているため茎が長くバランスが良いです。
拵は江戸時代後期に作られた半太刀拵ですが、鍔だけ新しい物に変わっています。鞘に少し凹みが有りますが、状態は概ね良好です。
また居合にも使えます。
Owari-Seki refers to a group of swordsmiths who, around the Keichō era in the early Edo period, transitioned from the kotō period to the shintō period, moving from Mino to Kiyosu in Owari, and later to Nagoya. Among them, Sagami no Kami Masatsune, Hida no Kami Ujifusa, and Hōki no Kami Nobutaka are renowned as the “Three Great Smiths of Owari.”
This piece is believed to have originally been a tachi with a blade length of about 2 shaku 4 sun (approx. 72 cm). As it has been suriage (shortened), the tang is long and well-balanced.
The koshirae is a han-tachi koshirae made in the late Edo period, though only the tsuba has been replaced with a newer one. The saya shows a slight dent, but overall, the condition is generally good.

「拵 Koshirae」
ハバキ(habaki) ：素銅地銀着一重の腰祐乗。
鍔(tsuba) ：真鍮地銀鍍金波の図太刀鍔。
半太刀金具(Hantachi kanagu)：銀無垢唐草模様一作金具。
目貫(menuki) ：赤銅地牡丹の図。
柄(tsuka) ：鮫は親粒が付き巻鮫、柄巻は正絹黒色の諸撮み巻。
鞘(saya) ：青貝散し鞘。

研：古研ぎのため、少しヒケが有りますが、概ね良好です。
傷：差裏の鎺元に少し傷が有りますが、余り目立ちません。
