「刀姿 sword figre」
鎬造り庵棟、身幅広く重尋常、鳥居反り中鋒。茎は生で筋違い鑢がかかる、茎尻は浅い栗尻。
Shinogi-zukuri with an iori-mune (peaked back). The blade is wide with standard thickness, featuring torii-style curvature and a medium-sized kissaki.
The tang (nakago) is ubu (unaltered) with sujikai-yasuri (diagonal file marks), and the tang tip is in a shallow kuri-jiri (rounded chestnut) form.
「彫物 carving」
彫物は、表裏に片チリの棒樋が鎺下に搔き流しと成る。
Katachiri-style bohi are carved on both sides of the blade, running down and terminating in a kaki-nagashi finish beneath the habaki.
「地鉄 jigane」
地鉄は、柾目肌が流れ地景が入り、地沸付く。
The jigane (surface steel) shows flowing masame-hada with chikei running through the grain, and ji-nie present.
「刃紋 hamon」
刃紋は、沸出来の湾れ刃、刃縁荒沸が付き銀筋流れ、刃中は金筋が働く。釯子は乱れ込み小丸に返る。
The hamon is a nie-deki notare (undulating) pattern, with coarse nie along the habuchi and streaks of ginsuji running through it. Within the hamon, kinsuji are actively working.
The bōshi is midare-komi and turns back in a ko-maru (small rounded) form.
「特徴 detailed」
無銘の新々刀ですが、綺麗な柾目肌に沿って地景が入り、湾れ刃の刃縁には沸に沿って銀筋が流れ、刃中には金筋が働くなど見どころの多い優れた刀身です。
刀身は古研ぎのためやや曇りが見られますが、光に透かすと美しい地刃をご覧いただけます。
拵については、鞘は元々付属していたものを使用しており、柄はリペア済みです。縁頭・目貫・鍔は新品に交換し、柄巻も新たに巻き替えました。
元幅は34mmと広く豪壮な姿ながら、軽量でバランスも良く、ご購入後すぐに居合にご使用いただけます。
Although this is an unsigned Shinshinto-period sword, it features a beautiful masame-hada with chikei running along the grain. The notare-style hamon shows bright nie along the habuchi with streaks of ginsuji, while kinsuji are actively present within the hamon, making this a blade with many attractive activities.
Due to its old polish, the blade appears slightly cloudy, but when viewed in the light, the beautiful jigane and hamon can be clearly appreciated.
Regarding the koshirae, the saya is the original one that came with the sword, while the tsuka has been repaired. The fuchi-kashira, menuki, and tsuba have been replaced with new ones, and the tsuka wrapping has also been newly done.
Although the blade has a wide moto-haba of 34 mm and a powerful appearance, it is lightweight and well-balanced, making it ready for immediate use in Iaido upon purchase.

ハバキ(habaki) ：銀無垢一重の庄内鎺。
鍔(tsuba) ：鉄地雁金透かし。
縁頭(futikasira)：銀地波の図。
目貫(menuki) ：蝸牛の図。
柄(tsuka) ：柄巻は牛表革の諸捻り巻。
鞘(saya) : 黒呂。
｢刀剣の状態 condition of blade｣
研：古研ぎのため、少し曇っていますが、地刃は良く見えます。錆は有りません。
傷：欠点に成るような傷は有りません。
