「刀姿 sword figure」
体配は鎬造り庵棟、身幅重共尋常、鳥居反り、中鋒。茎は生で鑢目は鷹の羽、茎尻は栗尻。
「地鉄 jigane」
地鉄は板目肌に杢目が交じり、地沸付き、鉄色冴える。
「刃紋 hamon」
刃紋は互の目乱れが湾れ、刃緑沸が付き、足入る。帽子は乱れ込み先尖り、小丸に返る。
「特徴 detailed」
関住兼時（二代）、本名は小島寛二、大正14年9月2日、岐阜県関市長住生まれ。師は父の小島時二郎（初代兼時、後の兼道）、また渡辺兼永の日本刀鍛錬塾でも学ぶ。
昭和32年2月9日に文化庁より作刀認可を受ける。 その後全日本刀匠会理事を務め、奨励賞、努力賞2回、入選21回受賞するなど、現代を代表する関の代表的刀匠。
ご子息は小島邦夫（二代兼道）氏、現在はお孫さんが三代兼時を名乗っている。
本作、居合用に作られた刀です、そのため重量軽く、手持ちのバランスが良いです。
刀身は古研ぎですが、少しヒケが有るくらいです。拵はのコンディションは良く、柄巻は新品に巻替えました。
ご購入後、直ぐに居合に使えます。
Seki-jū Kanetoki (2nd generation), real name Kojima Kanji, was born on September 2, 1925 (Taishō 14) in Nagazumi, Seki City, Gifu Prefecture.
He studied under his father, Kojima Tokijirō (the 1st Kanetoki, later known as Kanemichi), and also trained at Watanabe Kanenaga’s Japanese Sword Forging School.
He received his swordsmithing license from the Agency for Cultural Affairs on February 9, 1957 (Shōwa 32).
He later served as a director of the All Japan Swordsmith Association and became one of the representative modern swordsmiths of Seki, earning numerous awards including the Encouragement Prize, two Effort Awards, and 21 selections in competitions.
His son is Kojima Kunio (the 2nd Kanemichi), and today his grandson carries on the lineage as the 3rd Kanetoki.
This piece was forged specifically for iaidō, so it is lightweight and very well balanced in hand.
The blade is in an older polish, showing only slight signs of wear (hike). The koshirae is in good condition, and the tsukamaki has been freshly rewrapped.
It is ready for immediate use in iaidō upon purchase.

ハバキ(habaki) ：素銅地一重の庄内鎺。
鍔(tsuba) ：鉄地矢車の図。
縁頭(futikasira)：鉄地肥後八橋の図金象嵌（江戸時代の物）。
目貫(menuki) ：竹に虎の図。
柄(tsuka) ：柄巻は牛表革の諸捻り巻（新品）。
鞘(saya) ：黒石目。

研：古研ぎのため、少しヒケが有りますが、錆は有りません。
傷：欠点に成るような傷は有りません。
