「刀姿 sword figure」
鎬造り庵棟、身幅重共尋常、反り頃合いで鳥居反り、中鋒。茎は茎尻が少し切られていますが、区及びその他ははオリジナルで、化粧鑢がかかり、茎尻は一文字と成る。
「地鉄 jigane」
地鉄は小板目が所々流れ柾となり、地沸付く。
「刃紋 hamon」
刃紋は小互の目が乱れる。刃縁には微塵に沸が付き砂流しかかり、刃中は金筋が栄んに入り簾刃となる。鋩子は乱れ込み掃きかけ小丸に返る。
「特徴 detailed」
雲州住貞永、本名は小林力男、昭和27年生まれ、島根県横田町在住。昭和42年小林日本刀鍛錬場入門、47年に文化庁より作刀承認を受ける。48年には新作名刀展に初出品し入選。その後、努力賞を受賞し、寒山賞も受賞するなど精力的な活動を続け、平成11年には島根県無形文化財保持者に認定される。
本作、居合用に作られた刀で、刃長は74.4cmと長いですが、抜き身の重量が857gと軽く、茎尻が少し切られている事により絶妙なバランスとなっています。
全所有者がバランスを調整するために施工した事が功を奏したのでしょう。
刀身に二、三箇所小さく薄い白錆が有りますが、目立たなく、手入れをしていればこれ以上進行しないでしょう。
拵は多少使用感はありますが、コンディションは良く、縁頭は肥後の一作金具です。ご購入後は直ぐに居合で使えます。
Unshu-ju Sadanaga, real name Kobayashi Rikio, was born in 1952 (Showa 27) and resides in Yokota Town, Shimane Prefecture. In 1967 (Showa 42), he entered the Kobayashi Japanese Sword Forging Workshop, and in 1972 (Showa 47) he received official authorization to forge swords from the Agency for Cultural Affairs. The following year, he made his first submission to the Shinsaku Meito Exhibition and was selected. He continued his energetic activities, receiving the Doryoku-sho (Effort Prize) and the Kanzan Prize, among others, and in 1999 (Heisei 11) he was recognized as an Important Intangible Cultural Property Holder of Shimane Prefecture.
This piece was forged for Iaido practice. While the blade length is long at 74.4 cm, the bare weight is light at 857 g, and because the tip of the tang has been slightly trimmed, it achieves an exquisite balance. This modification was likely carried out by a previous owner to improve the balance, and it has proven effective.
There are two or three small, faint spots of white rust on the blade, but they are not noticeable and should not progress further if proper care is maintained.
The koshirae shows some signs of use but remains in good condition. The fuchi-kashira fittings are Higo-style work. After purchase, this sword can be immediately used for Iaido.

ハバキ(habaki) ：素銅地一重の腰祐乗。
鍔(tsuba) ：鉄地蕨透かし。
縁頭(futikasira)：肥後石目桜。
目貫(menuki) ：菊の図。
柄(tsuka) ：鮫は親粒が付く。柄巻は正絹黒の諸捻り巻。
鐺(kojiri) :肥後石目桜。
鞘(saya) ：黒呂。

傷：欠点に成るような傷は有りません。
