「刀姿 sword figure」
体配は鎬造り庵棟、身幅太く重尋常、鳥居反り小鋒。茎は生で筋違い鑢がかかり、茎尻は栗尻と成る。
「彫物 carving」
彫物は表裏に片チリの棒樋が茎中程に掻き流し。
「地鉄 jigane」
地鉄は板目肌に杢目が交じり、地沸付き、鉄色冴える。
「刃紋 hamon」
刃紋は互の目乱れ刃が湾れ、刃緑沸が付き、足入る。帽子は乱れ込み先尖り、小丸に返る。
「特徴 detailed」
関住兼時（二代）、本名は小島寛二、大正14年（1925年）9月2日、岐阜県関市長住に生まれる。父である小島時二郎（初代兼時、後の兼道）に師事し、渡辺兼永の日本刀鍛錬塾でも学んだ。昭和32年（1957年）2月9日に文化庁より作刀認可を受ける。その後、全日本刀匠会理事を務め、奨励賞、努力賞2回、また新作名刀展に21回連続入選するなど、現代関を代表する名刀匠として知られる。
郁夫、本名小島郁夫、初代兼道の没後に二代兼道を襲名。岐阜県関市に在住し、父である二代兼時の指導を受ける。昭和56年（1981年）以来、新作名刀展で連続入選を果たし、努力賞1回、優秀賞2回を受賞。御子息である三代兼時も若手刀匠として活躍している。さらに、小島刀匠は美濃伝作刀保存協会の会長も務め、現代美濃伝の第一人者といえる。
本作は親子合作の刀である。刀身は身幅が太く堂々たる刀姿を持ち、見事な美濃伝の刃文が焼かれている。若干重量感があるが、バランスが非常に良いため、手持ち感は軽く感じる優れた一振りである。
Seki-ju Kanetoki (second generation), whose real name was Kanji Kojima, was born on September 2, 1925 (Taisho 14), in Nagaizumi, Seki City, Gifu Prefecture. He trained under his father, TokiJiro Kojima (the first-generation Kanetoki, later known as Kanemichi), and also studied at Watanabe Kanenaga’s Japanese Sword Forging School. He received permission to forge swords from the Agency for Cultural Affairs on February 9, 1957 (Showa 32). Kanetoki later served as a director of the All Japan Swordsmith Association, earning accolades such as the Encouragement Award, two Effort Awards, and 21 consecutive selections at the New Sword Exhibition. He is recognized as one of the foremost swordsmiths of modern Seki.
Ikuo, whose real name is Ikuo Kojima, succeeded as the second-generation Kanemichi following the passing of the first generation. Residing in Seki City, Gifu Prefecture, he trained under his father, the second-generation Kanetoki. Since 1981 (Showa 56), he has consistently been selected for the New Sword Exhibition, earning one Effort Award and two Excellence Awards. His son, the third-generation Kanetoki, is an active young swordsmith. In addition to his craftsmanship, Ikuo Kojima served as the president of the Mino-den Sword Preservation Society, making him a true modern master of the Mino tradition.
This piece is a collaborative work by father and son. The blade features a broad and imposing form with a beautifully executed Mino-den hamon. While slightly heavy, its excellent balance gives it a surprisingly light feel in hand.

拵のコンディションが良く、このまま直に居合で使えます。柄巻きは少し使用感が有るので、15,000円（税込）で巻替えます。
ハバキ(habaki) ：銀無垢一重の腰祐乗。
鍔(Tsuba) ：鉄地三日月武蔵。
縁頭(FuchiKashira) ：肥後唐草九曜紋金象嵌。
目貫(menuki) ：土筆の図。
柄(Tsuka) ：鮫は親粒が付く。柄糸は正絹黒糸の諸捻り巻き。
