「刀姿 sword figure」
菖蒲造り庵棟、身幅重尋常、反り無しふくら程良く枯れる。茎は生で化粧鑢がかかり、茎尻は刃上がりの栗尻。
It is of shobu-zukuri with an iori-mune, the mihaba and kasane are of standard proportions.
There is no sori, and the The fukura is moderately pointed.
The nakago is ubu(Original) with decorative kesho-yasuri, and the nakago-jiri(end) is ha-agari kurijiri.
「地鉄 jigane」
地鉄は板目肌が流れ地沸付く。
The jigane shows a flowing itame-hada with ji-nie present.
「刃紋 hamon」
刃紋は互の目、飛び焼きを見せ、刃縁細かな沸が付き砂流しかかり、刃中は金筋が働く。釯子は乱れ込み小丸に深く返り、棟焼きと成る。
The hamon is in a gunome pattern with areas of tobiyaki.
Fine nie forms along the ha-buchi, with sunagashi appearing, and kinsuji are active within the hamon.
The boshi is midare-komi, ending in a small round turn-back with a deep return, and continues as muneyaki along the spine.
「特徴 detailed」
左安廣は、明治から大正にかけて福岡にて活躍した刀工です。
左一門は、鎌倉時代から南北朝にかけて筑州隠浜（現福岡市沖浜町）栄えた刀工集団で、特に有名なのは正宗十哲の一人とされる大左が有名です。その後は室町時代・江戸時代と続く。左安廣は、左一門の最後を飾る刀工です。刀身のコンディションは凄く良く、研ぎ上がりの様な状態です。拵のコンディション良好で鞘に少し傷が有る程度です。明治初期の懐剣です。刀身・拵共コンディションは良く、コレクション、または居合道、試斬道や弓道の前差に最適です。
Sa Yasuhiro was a swordsmith active in Fukuoka from the Meiji period through the Taisho period.
The Sa school was a group of swordsmiths that flourished in Chikushu Okihama (present-day Okihama-machi, Fukuoka City) from the Kamakura period through the Nanbokucho period. The most famous among them is O-Sa, who is regarded as one of the Masamune Juttetsu (Ten Great Disciples of Masamune). The lineage continued through the Muromachi and Edo periods, and Hidari Yasuhiro is considered the last swordsmith of the Hidari school.
The blade is in exceptionally good condition, appearing almost as if freshly polished. The koshirae is also in good condition, with only minor scratches on the saya.
This is a kaiken from the early Meiji period. Both the blade and the koshirae are well preserved, making it ideal for a collection, as well as suitable for iai-do, tameshigiri-do, or as a mae-zashi for kyu-do.
｢拵 Koshirae｣
懐剣拵。柄は真ん中を黒の縦刷毛目塗、その両側を千段刻み。鞘は焦げ茶の木目仕上げで、鯉口辺が千段刻み。
目釘穴には菊花の金具が付く、
ハバキ(habaki) ：素銅地変わりハバキ、磨き地に金メッキ。
