「刀姿 sword figure」
平造り庵棟、身幅重尋常、反り僅かふくら程よく枯れる。茎は生で筋違い鑢がかかり、茎尻は浅い栗尻。
「地鉄 jigane」
地鉄は小板目肌が詰み、地沸付く。
「刃紋 hamon」
刃紋は逆さ丁子刃、逆足良く入り、刃中は葉が入る。釯子は乱れ込み小丸に返る。
「特徴 detailed」
備前長船正城、本名は川島一城、昭和45年高知県安芸市生まれ、父は川島正秀。高校卒業後、関市の中田正直（関住正直）刀匠に弟子入り、その後吉原國家刀匠に弟子入。平成8年、備前長船博物館鍛刀場にて独立・新作刀展覧会初出品入選。平成15年、長船町に川島正城日本刀鍛錬場を開設する。新作刀展では、努力賞他、受賞多数。
本作は青江写しの短刀で、平成11年に、備前長船博物館鍛刀場にて作られた物です。多分お守り短刀として作られた物でしょう。
刀身、拵共コンディション良く、お守り短刀として最適です。
Bizen Osafune Masaki, whose real name is Kazuki Kawashima, was born in 1970 (Showa 45) in Aki City, Kochi Prefecture. His father is the swordsmith Kawashima Masahide. After graduating from high school, he apprenticed under swordsmith Nakata Masanao (Seki-ju Masanao) in Seki City, and later under Yoshihara Kuniie. In 1996 (Heisei 8), he became independent at the Bizen Osafune Sword Museum Forge, where his first entry into the New Sword Exhibition was selected for display. In 2003 (Heisei 15), he established the Kawashima Masaki Japanese Sword Forging Studio in Osafune. Since then, he has received numerous awards at the New Sword Exhibitions, including the Doryoku-shō (Effort Prize).
This piece is a tanto in the style of the Aoe school, forged in 1999 (Heisei 11) at the Bizen Osafune Sword Museum Forge. It was likely created as an omamori tantō (protective or talismanic dagger). Both the blade and the mounting are in excellent condition, making it an ideal omamori tanto.
