「刀姿 sword figure」
鎬造り庵棟、身幅重尋常、鳥居反り中鋒。茎は生で、筋違い鑢がかかり、茎尻は刃上がりの剣形。
「地鉄 jigane」
地鉄は小板目肌がよく詰み、地沸付く。
「刃紋 hamon」
刃紋は互の目、尖り刃を交え、刃縁砂流しかかり荒沸が付く。刃中は葉・金筋が働く。釯子は乱れ込み小丸に返る。
「特徴 detailed」
備中守清宣は近江守清宣の子で、正保二年に備中大掾、同三年頃に備中守を受領。彼らは関七流の一つ徳永派に属し、関の鍛冶頭を親子に渡って務めるなど、その実力は新刀関を代表すると言っても過言は無いです。また備中守清は新刀中上作に列せられています。
本作、精緻に鍛錬した地鉄に、働きの有る見事な互の目を焼いた逸品です。あなたのコレクションに加えて下さい。
Bitchu no Kami Kiyonobu was the son of Omi no Kami Kiyonobu. In 1645 (Shoho 2), he received the title of Bitchu no Daijo, and around the following year, he was granted the title of Bitchu no Kami. They belonged to the Tokunaga school, one of the seven main swordsmithing schools of Seki, and served as heads of the Seki swordsmiths across generations. Their skill and reputation are such that they can be regarded as representative of the Shinto-era Seki swordsmiths. Bitchu no Kami Kiyonobu is also ranked as a Chu-jo-saku (mid-upper grade) swordsmith of the Shinto period.
This piece is an exquisite example featuring meticulously forged jigane (steel surface) and a remarkable gunome hamon (clove-patterned temper line) with active hataraki (visible activities).

｢拵 Koshirae｣
拵は、鞘塗に少しひびが入っていますが、鞘に割れは有りません。
ハバキ(habaki) ：素銅地加州鎺。
鍔(Tsuba) ：鉄地木瓜形柾目の図。
縁頭(FuchiKashira) ：鉄地源氏香の図。
目貫(menuki) ：赤銅地笹の図。
柄(Tsuka) ：鮫は親粒が付き巻鮫。柄糸は正絹焦茶色の諸撮み巻き。
鞘(Saya) ：黒呂。
