「刀姿 sword figure」
鎬造り庵棟、身幅やや細く重やや薄く、鳥居反り小鋒。茎は生で切鑢がかかる、茎尻は栗尻
「地鉄 jigane」
地鉄は板目肌が流れ、柾心となり、地沸付く。
「刃紋 hamon」
刃紋は互の目乱れ、飛び焼きを見せ、刃縁沸付き砂流しかかり、刃中は金筋が働く。釯子は乱れ込み小丸に返る。
「特徴 detailed」
阿州氏吉、室町時代永正ころの、阿波海部の刀工です。この刀工は三好長慶家重代の「岩切海部」の作者としても知られています。
本作は無銘ながら、見事な相州伝を焼いており、後代の海部刀とは全然違う出来栄えを見せています。
刀身の状態は良く薄錆等も有りません。拵は比較的最近作られた物で、江戸時代の上質の金具使っています。コンディションも良好で、特に柄巻は新品状態です。抜き身の重量は896gと軽くバランスも最高で、鑑賞のみならず居合にも最適です。
戦国時代の刀で居合を抜くのは最高です！
Asyu ju Ujiyoshi, active around the Eishō era of the Muromachi period, was a swordsmith of the Awa-Kaifu tradition and is famous as the maker of the hereditary Miyaoshi family sword “Iwakiri Kaifu.”
Although this piece is unsigned, it beautifully displays the Sōshū-den style. Both the blade and the koshirae are in good condition. It is lightweight, well balanced, and suitable not only for appreciation but also for use in Iaido.
Drawing a sword from the Warring States period for Iaido is truly exceptional!
｢拵 Koshirae｣
ハバキ(habaki) ：銀無垢二重。
鍔(tsuba) ：鉄地扇透かし鍔。
縁頭(fhchikashira)：赤銅魚子地扇の図。
目貫(menuki) ：赤銅地虎の図。
柄(tsuka) ：鮫は親粒が付く。柄巻は正絹黒の諸撮み巻。
鞘(saya) ：黒呂。
