「刀姿 sword figure」
鎬造り庵棟、身幅やや太く重厚く、腰反り小鋒。茎は生で鑢目は筋違い、茎尻は栗尻。
「地鉄 jigane」
地鉄は小板目肌が良く詰み、地沸厚く付き、地景が入る。
「刃紋 hamon」
刃紋は重花丁子刃、足良く入り、刃中は葉が入る。釯子は乱れ込み小丸に返る。
「特徴 detailed」
昭吉、本名は、岸久人。昭和43年 新潟県柏崎市生まれ。昭和62年 重要無形文化財保持者（人間国宝）天田昭次師に入門する。
師の天田昭次刀匠は、新作名刀展覧会にて、三度の「正宗賞」受賞歴がある現代刀剣鍛冶の巨匠。
また昭吉刀匠は天田昭次刀匠唯一の愛弟子で、平成4年に作刀承認を受け。平成7年には新作刀名刀展初出品で新人賞受賞、そして同年に独立する。
その後、平成17年まで努力賞、優秀賞を連続受賞する。
本作、一文字も太刀写しで、腰反りの優美な太刀姿に重花丁子を焼いた、素晴らしい作品です。
昭吉（本名：岸 久人）は、
1968年（昭和43年）に新潟県柏崎市に生まれました。
1987年（昭和62年）、重要無形文化財保持者（人間国宝）である刀匠・天田昭次師に入門します。
その師である天田昭次刀匠は、現代刀剣界の名匠として知られ、新作名刀展覧会において三度「正宗賞」を受賞した経歴を持ちます。
昭吉刀匠は、天田昭次刀匠の唯一の愛弟子です。
1992年（平成4年）に作刀承認を受け、1995年（平成7年）には新作刀展に初出品し、新人賞を受賞。同年に独立を果たしました。
その後、2005年（平成17年）まで、努力賞や優秀賞を連続して受賞し、実力を確かなものとします。
本作は、一文字写しの太刀であり、優美な腰反りを持つ太刀姿に、見事な重花丁子の刃文を焼いた逸品です。まさに傑作といえる作品です。
Akiyoshi, his real name Hisato Kishi,
was born in 1968 (Showa 43) in Kashiwazaki City, Niigata Prefecture.
In 1987 (Showa 62), he became an apprentice of Master Akitsugu Amada, a Living National Treasure and designated holder of an Important Intangible Cultural Property.
His master, swordsmith Akitsugu Amada, is a renowned contemporary swordsmith who has won the prestigious Masamune Prize three times at the New Sword Exhibition.
Shokichi is Master Akitsugu Amada’s only disciple.
In 1992 (Heisei 4), he was officially approved as a swordsmith, and in 1995 (Heisei 7), he entered the New Sword Exhibition for the first time and received the Newcomer’s Award, and became independent the same year.
Thereafter, until 2005 (Heisei 17), he consistently received awards such as the Effort Award and Excellence Award.
This piece is a faithful reproduction of an Ichimonji-style tachi, featuring an elegant silhouette with a graceful koshi-zori (curved waist) and a magnificent juka-choji hamon (multiple clove-shaped temper patterns). It is truly a remarkable work.
