「刀姿 sword figre」
鎬造り庵棟、身幅やや細く重尋常、鳥居反り中鋒。茎は磨り揚げで切鑢がかかり、茎尻は一文字に切られる。
Shinogi-zukuri with an iori-mune (peaked back), the blade is slightly narrow with standard thickness, showing torii-style curvature and a medium-sized kissaki.
The tang (nakago) is suriage (shortened), finished with kiri-yasuri (horizontal file marks), and the tang tip is cut straight in an ichimonji shape.
「地鉄 jigane」
地鉄は板目肌に小板目が交じり、刃縁付近で流れ、地沸付く。
The jigane (surface steel) shows an itame-hada mixed with ko-itame, flowing toward the area near the hamon, with ji-nie (fine crystalline particles) present.
「刃紋 hamon」
刃紋は沸出来の互の目、尖り刃を交え、刃縁沸付き砂流しかかる。釯子は乱れ込み小丸に返る。
The hamon is a nie-deki gunome pattern mixed with pointed (togari) elements. The habuchi is covered with nie and shows traces of sunagashi.
The bōshi is midare-komi (irregular into the tip) and turns back in a ko-maru (small rounded) form.
「特徴 detailed」
無銘の古刀、多分室町後期の末関だと思います。室町後期の美濃関には、大和国から関へ移住した兼光を祖とする「関七流」と呼ばれる七つの流派（善定派、室屋派、良賢派、奈良派、得永派、三阿弥派、得印派）が有りました。この刀はどの派に属するかは分りません。
刀身は古研ぎのため曇っていますが、地刃は見えます。また差裏は少し肌立っています。
拵は金具類が良い物は使われています。縁頭は赤銅魚子地馬の図ですが、縁の馬は、多分純金の据物だと思います。
それから鎺は素銅地金着一重の高級仕様です。
柄巻はかなり使いこまれているため、汚れていますが、その他のコンディションは良いです。
大磨り揚げのため、茎が長くバランス良く、居合に最適です。
This is an unsigned kotō (old sword), likely Sue-Seki work from the late Muromachi period.
During the late Muromachi period, Mino Seki was home to the so-called “Seki Seven Schools,” seven lineages descended from Kanemitsu, who had moved from Yamato Province to Seki. These schools included the Zenjō, Muroya, Ryōken, Nara, Tokunaga, San’ami, and Tokuin branches. It is unclear to which specific school this blade belongs.
Due to its old polish, the blade appears somewhat cloudy; however, the jihada and hamon are still visible. The ura side shows some areas where the grain stands out slightly.
The koshirae is fitted with high-quality metal fittings. The fuchi-kashira features a horse design on a shakudō nanako ground, and the horse motif on the fuchi is likely made of solid gold appliqué, although this cannot be guaranteed.
In addition, the habaki is a high-grade single-piece construction of solid copper with gold overlay.
The tsuka-maki shows signs of heavy use and some soiling, but the overall condition is otherwise good.
Because the blade is ō-suriage (greatly shortened), the tang is relatively long, resulting in good balance and making it well suited for Iaido practice.

ハバキ(habaki) ：素銅地金着一重の腰祐乗。
鍔(tsuba) ：鉄地桜に雉の図。
縁頭(futikasira)：赤銅魚子地馬の図。縁の馬は金無垢の据え物だと思います。
目貫(menuki) ：赤銅地馬の図。
柄(tsuka) ：柄は親粒が付く、柄巻は正絹焦げ茶色の諸捻り巻。
鞘(saya) : 黒呂。

研：刀身は古研ぎのため曇っていますが、地刃は見えます。
傷：差裏は少し肌立っていますが、欠点に成るような傷は有りません。
