「刀姿 sword figure」
鎬造り庵棟、身幅尋常重やや薄く、鳥居反り中鋒。茎は生で切鑢がかかる、茎尻は栗尻。
「地鉄 jigane」
地鉄は小板目肌が良く詰み、地沸付く。
「刃紋 hamon」
刃紋は小沸出来の中直刃、刃縁砂流しかかり、刃中は金筋が働く。帽子は直ぐに入り小丸に返る。
「特徴 detailed」
相州住靖要（本名：増田要）は、1915年（大正4年）1月10日に栃木県に生まれました。
1937年（昭和12年）に東京・九段の靖國神社内にあった日本刀鍛錬会に入門し、靖國神社奉納刀や陸海軍の軍刀を鍛刀しました。
1944年（昭和19年）には陸軍大臣より「靖要」の銘を受けた12名のうちの一人です。
戦後は1953年（昭和28年）より神奈川県茅ヶ崎にて作刀を再開。
日本美術刀剣保存協会の新作名刀展をはじめ、さまざまなコンクールへ積極的に出品し、優秀賞を含む16回もの受賞歴を誇ります。
本作は、居合用に特注されたものと思われます。
刃長は72.1cm、身幅31.2mm、元重ね6.2mmでありながら、抜き身の重量はわずか765gと非常に軽量で、バランスも抜群です。
刀身・拵ともにコンディションは極めて良好で、ご購入後すぐに居合で使用できます。
Soshu-ju Yasukane, whose real name was Masuda Kaname, was born on January 10, 1915 (Taisho 4) in Tochigi Prefecture. In 1937 (Shōwa 12), he entered the Nihontō Tanrenkai (Japanese Sword Forging Association) located within Yasukuni Shrine in Kudanshita, Tokyo. There he forged swords for Yasukuni Shrine and for the Imperial Army and Navy. In 1944 (Shōwa 19), he received the honorific swordsmith name “Yasukane” from the Army Minister—one of only twelve swordsmiths to be granted this title.
After the war, in 1953 (Shōwa 28), he resumed swordsmithing in Chigasaki, Kanagawa Prefecture. He actively submitted work to various competitions, including the NBTHK Shinsaku Meitō Exhibition, where he received awards sixteen times, including the Excellence Award.
This sword is believed to have been specially commissioned for Iaido.
The blade length is 72.1 cm, with a mihaba of 31.2 mm and a motokasane of 6.2 mm, yet the bare-blade weight is only 765 g, making it exceptionally light and superbly balanced.
Both the blade and the koshirae are in excellent condition, and it can be used for Iaido immediately after purchase.

ハバキ(habaki) ：銀無垢一重の腰祐乗。
鍔(tsuba) ：素銅地長丸形武蔵野図。
縁頭(futikasira)：鉄地梅の図銀象嵌。
鐺(kojiri) : 鉄地桐唐草銀象嵌。
目貫(menuki) ：赤銅地子犬の図。
柄(tsuka) ：鮫は親粒が付く、柄巻は正絹黒色の諸撮み巻。
鞘(saya) ：乾漆石目濃緑色。
