「体配 figure」
体配は鎬造り庵棟、身幅太く重尋常、鳥居反り小鋒。茎は生で化粧鑢がかかる、茎尻は栗尻と成る。
「彫物 carving」
彫り物は片チリの棒樋がハバキ下で丸留と成る。
「地鉄 jigane」
地鉄は杢目肌が詰み、地沸付く。
「刃紋 hamon」
刃紋は湾れ刃で、焼き幅広く小沸よ良く付く。釯子は刃紋成りに入り小丸に返る。
「特徴 detailed」
福岡住正次、この刀匠については不明です。しかし銘監には、小倉の刀匠紀政次が紀正次と銘を切っていたことがあるみたいなので、本作は紀政次の作品でしょうか。
本作は昭和18年3月に作られた刀ですが、軍刀では無く特注で作られた物だと思います。そのため鍛錬刀で重量軽いです。
刀身は研ぎ上げたばかりです。拵は下地を調整後に新品にまき直し、鞘は塗り直しました。正にフルリペアをした新品同様の拵です。
身幅太く豪壮ですが」、バランス良く手持ちは軽く感じます。ご購入後、直ぐに居合で使えます。
Fukuoka-jū Masatsugu — details about this swordsmith are not well documented. However, swordsmith Ki Masatsugu from Kokura is known to have signed some of his works as “Ki Masatsugu” using different character forms, so it is possible that this blade may be one of his works.
This sword was made in March of 1943 (Showa 18), but it does not appear to have been intended as a military sword. Rather, it seems to have been a specially commissioned piece, which is why it is a properly forged blade and relatively light in weight.
The blade has just been freshly polished. The koshirae has been fully restored — the core was adjusted and the tsuka was freshly rewrapped, and the saya was newly lacquered. It is truly a fully refurbished koshirae, in like-new condition.
Although the blade has a wide body and an imposing shape, it is well-balanced and feels light in the hand. It is ready for immediate use in Iaido after purchase.

ハバキ(habaki) ：素銅地一重の腰祐乗。
鍔(tsuba) ：鉄地長丸形雲版の図影透かし。
縁頭(fhchikashira)：銀無垢石目地肥後。
目貫(menuki) ：虎の図（新品）。
柄(tsuka) ：鮫は親粒が付く、柄巻は牛表革黒色の諸捻り巻（新品）。
鞘(saya) ：黒石目。
