「刀姿 sword figure」
鎬造り庵棟、身幅太く重厚く、鳥居反り小鋒。茎は生で化粧鑢がかかる、茎尻は栗尻。
「地鉄 jigane」
地鉄は、板目肌が詰み、地沸付く。
「刃紋 hamon」
刃紋は、互の目、小足入り砂流しかかり、刃中は金筋が働く。釯子は刃紋成りに入り小丸に返る。
「特徴 detailed」
雲州住貞法、島根県重要無形文化財保持者、本名小林貞俊、島根県横田町在住の刀匠で小林三兄弟の次男です、師は奥出雲たたらと刀剣館でも鍛刀の実演をされていました。
貞法刀匠は多数の賞を受賞され、平成11年4月9日、弟の貞永刀匠とともに島根県指定無形文化財に認定された。
私は昔数回お会いした事が有りご自宅までお邪魔した事がありますが、とても気さくで愉快な方です、その当時は自分達で試し斬りのグループを作り、試斬をされていました。
本作は鎌倉時代の太刀を磨り上げた姿を写した刀で、身幅太く重厚く、反りは頃合です。元々白鞘に入っていたものと思われるため、刀身は居合や試斬では、未使用です。
拵は最近作られたもので、未使用の新品状態です。
ご購入後、直ぐに試斬で使えます。
Unshū-jū Sadanori(real name: Sadatoshi Kobayashi) is a swordsmith residing in Yokota, Shimane Prefecture, and the second of the three Kobayashi brothers. He is a designated holder of an Important Intangible Cultural Property of Shimane Prefecture. Trained under the sword-forging tradition of Okuizumo Tatara and active in forging demonstrations at the Japanese Sword Museum, he became a recognized master in his craft. On April 9, 1999 (Heisei 11), he and his younger brother, swordsmith Sadanaga, were both officially designated as Shimane Prefecture Intangible Cultural Property holders.
I personally met him several times in the past and visited his home. He was warm, friendly, and fun to be around. At that time, he had formed a tameshigiri (test-cutting) group and practiced cutting swords together.
This particular sword is modeled after a Kamakura-period tachi that has been shortened (suriage). It features a thick, powerful blade with a graceful curvature. Because it was originally stored in a shirasaya (plain wooden scabbard), the blade has never been used for iaido or tameshigiri.
The koshirae (mounting) is newly made and remains unused, in pristine condition. This sword is ready to be used immediately for tameshigiri upon purchase.

ハバキ(habaki) ：銀無垢一重の腰祐乗。
鍔(tsuba) ：鉄地肥後海鼠透かし。
縁頭(futikasira)：素銅地肥後山道の図。
目貫(menuki) ：鯉の図。
柄(tsuka) ：鮫は親粒が付く、柄巻は正絹黒色の諸捻り巻。
鞘(saya) ：黒呂。
