「刀姿 sword figure」
体配は鎬造り庵棟、身幅重尋常、鳥居反り中鋒。茎は生で筋違い鑢がかかり、茎尻は栗尻となる。
「彫物 carving」
彫り物は片チリの棒樋がハバキ下で掻き流しに成る。
「地鉄 jigane」
地鉄は小板目肌が良く練れて良く積んだ黒味のある地鉄に、地沸良く付く。
「刃紋 hamon」
刃紋は重花丁子刃で足が良く入り、刃中稲妻が走る。帽子は乱れこみ小丸に返る。
「特徴 detailed」
赤松太郎兼照、本名は木村馨、昭和36年生まれ、木村兼嗣刀匠の末弟で、木村兼光、木村兼幸の叔父。
赤松太郎は、兼嗣を筆頭として兼裕、兼照、その他の門人を育成している。全ての刀工は赤松太郎と銘を付け清麿写しには定評がある。
自家製鉄により玉鋼を制作して作刀を行う為、現在流通している日刀保の玉鋼とはやや趣きが異なる。
本作は、有る刀剣店の金庫に眠っていた打ち下ろしの刀身を、弊社にて仕上げた儀平屋オリジナル新作刀です。
流石に居合用に作られた刀身のため、バランス良く軽いです。拵は、柄木には硬い桜材を使用し、金具類は勝虫で統一しました。
久ぶりに制作した、弊社オリジナルの居合用真剣です。ご購入後直ぐに居合で使えます。
Akamatsu Taro Kaneteru, whose real name is Kaoru Kimura, was born in 1961 (Showa 36). He is the youngest brother of swordsmith Kimura Kanetsugu, and the uncle of Kimura Kanemitsu and Kimura Kaneyuki.
Taro Akamatsu, along with Kanetsugu, has trained several disciples including Kaneyu and Kaneteru. All of these swordsmiths sign their works with the name “Taro Akamatsu,” and they are especially renowned for reproductions in the style of Kiyomaro.
They forges his blades using ther own tamahagane, produced through self-made steelmaking, giving his swords a unique character distinct from the tamahagane currently distributed by the NBTHK (Nihon Bijutsu Token Hozon Kyokai).
This particular sword is an original Giheiya new work, completed by our company using a blade that had been stored in a sword shop’s vault.
As expected of a blade made for Iaido, it is lightweight and well-balanced. The koshirae features a tsuka core made from durable cherry wood, and all the fittings are unified under the “katsumushi” (victory insect – dragonfly) motif.
This is our first newly-produced original Iai

ハバキ(habaki) ：銀無垢一重の一文字。
鍔(tsuba) ：鉄地勝虫の図。
縁頭(futikasira)：銀地勝虫の図。
目貫(menuki) ：銀無垢勝虫の図。
柄(tsuka) ：柄木は桜、鮫は親粒が付き巻鮫。柄巻きは牛表革の諸捻り巻き。
鞘(saya) ：黒艶の千段刻み鞘。
