「体配 style」
鎬造、庵棟、身幅やや太く重尋常、鳥居反り中鋒、茎は生で化粧鑢がかかる、茎尻は刃上がりの栗尻。
「彫物 carving」
彫物は片チリの棒樋がハバキ下に掻き流しと成る。
「地鉄 jigane」
地鉄は板目肌が流れ柾がかり、地景入り地沸付く。
「刃紋 hamon」
刃紋は沸出来の互の目が逆さががり、刃縁沸が付き砂流し掛かり、刃中は稲妻、金筋が働く。鋩子は乱れこみ小丸に返る。
「特徴 detailed」
平安城源光包、本名は金田勇、岡山県倉敷市住、師は竹下祐光刀匠です。新作刀コンクールでは入選多数の実力派です。
本作は鑑賞用で作られた物のため、居合等では未使用です。しかし樋は深く彫られており、樋鳴音が心地よく。バランスも良く手持ちが軽いです。
拵は本格的に作られた物で、鎺は高級な素銅地金着二重鎺、鞘は綺麗な貝散し鞘です。未使用のため、コンディションは良いです。
このまま鑑賞するのも良いですが、高級居合刀として使えます。
Heianjō Minamoto no Mitsukane, whose real name is Isamu Kaneda, resides in Kurashiki City, Okayama Prefecture. He studied under swordsmith Takeshita Sukemitsu and is a highly skilled smith who has been selected numerous times in the New Sword Competition.
This piece was made for appreciation and has not been used for iaido or other martial arts. However, it features deeply carved hi, which produce a pleasant whistling sound when swung. The sword is well-balanced and feels light in hand.
The koshirae is crafted with authenticity and care, featuring a high-grade futae habaki (double-layered blade collar) made of fine suaka (pure copper) with gold foil. The saya is a beautifully lacquered shell-scatter design (kaichirashi). As it has never been used, the overall condition is excellent.
While it is suitable for display as a collector’s piece, it can also serve as a high-quality iaido sword.
｢拵 Koshirae｣
鎺(habaki) ：素銅菊地金着二重鎺。
鍔(tsuba) ：鉄地菊に二階菱透かし。
縁頭(fuchikashira)：肥後波の図。
目貫(menuki) ：鳳凰の図。
柄(tsuka) ：鮫は親粒が付き巻鮫。柄巻きは牛表革の諸捻り巻き。
鞘(saya) ：貝散し鞘。
