「刀姿 sword figure」
鎬造庵棟、身幅重尋常、鳥居反り中鋒。茎は生で化粧鑢がかかり、茎尻は入山形。
「地鉄 jigane」
地鉄は小板目が良く詰み、地沸付く。
「刃紋 hamon」
刃紋は直刃調の小互の目、小足入り、刃中は葉が入る。釯子は刃紋成りに入り小丸に返る。
「特徴 detailed」
刀匠・沖芝信重は、1923年（大正12年）生まれです。彼は最初、堺市に居住していましたが、その後八尾市に移住し、八尾空港の近くに鍛錬所を構えて鍛刀に専念しました。信重は、父であり師でもある沖芝正次に師事した後、人間国宝・月山貞一の兄弟弟子で、相州伝の刀作りで日本一と称された奈良の柳生住喜多貞弘刀匠の弟子となりました。
信重刀匠が全国的に名声を得たのは、隕石として地球に降り注いだ隕鉄を材料に鍛刀したことで知られています。隕鉄で刀を造るのは極めて難しい技術を要し、信重刀匠の卓越した技量を示す真骨頂と言えます。
本作は、良く鍛えた地鉄に、小互の目を焼いた優れた作品です。コンディションは良く、バランスも良く、居合に最適です。
Swordsmith Okishiba Nobushige was born in 1923 (Taisho 12). Initially residing in Sakai City, he later moved to Yao City, where he established a forge near Yao Airport and dedicated himself to swordmaking. Nobushige trained under his father and mentor, Okishiba Masatsugu, and later became a disciple of Kitajo Sadahiro of Yagyu, Nara. Sadahiro, recognized as one of Japan’s finest swordsmiths, was renowned for his mastery of the Soshu-den style and was a fellow apprentice of Living National Treasure Gassan Sadakatsu.
Nobushige gained national acclaim for crafting swords using meteorite iron, a rare material from meteorites that fell to Earth from space. Forging swords with meteorite iron is an exceptionally challenging process, demonstrating Nobushige’s unparalleled skill and craftsmanship.
This piece is an excellent work, featuring well-forged jigane and a finely executed ko-gunome hamon. It is in good condition, well-balanced, and ideal for iaido practice.

拵は、全て古い菊の図の金具類を使用して作られています、またコンディションは良いです。
ハバキ(habaki) ：素銅地金鍍金の大坂鎺。
鍔(tsuba) ：鉄地菊の図。
縁頭(futikasira)：赤銅地菊の図。
目貫(menuki) ：赤銅地菊の図。
柄(tsuka) ：鮫は親粒が付き巻鮫、柄糸は正絹黒色の諸撮み巻き。
鞘(saya) ：黒呂。
