「刀姿 sword figure」
鎬造り庵棟、身幅重共尋常、反り頃合いで鳥居反り、中鋒。茎は生で化粧鑢がかかる、茎尻は栗尻と成る。
The blade is in shinogi-zukuri shape with an iori-mune (slightly rounded ridge). The width and thickness are standard, with moderate curvature (torii-zori) and a chu-kissaki (medium-sized tip). The nakago (tang) is ubu (unaltered) with decorative yasurime (file marks), and the nakago-jiri (tang end) is finished in a kuri-jiri (chestnut shape).
「地鉄 jigane」
地鉄は小板目が所々流れ柾となり、地沸付く。
The jigane (steel surface) features a fine ko-itame hada (small wood grain pattern) with areas flowing into masame (straight grain), and is covered with ji-nie (small crystalline particles).
「刃紋 hamon」
刃紋は小互の目が乱れる。刃縁には微塵に沸が付き砂流しかかり、刃中は金筋が栄んに入り簾刃となる。鋩子は乱れ込み掃きかけ小丸に返る。
The hamon consists of small gunome-midare (irregular clove patterns). The blade’s edge is finely covered with nie (crystalline particles) and features sunagashi (streaks of martensite). Within the hamon, there are abundant kinsuji (bright streaks), creating a stunning suguha-like appearance. The boshi (tip temper line) is turbulent, with a sweeping pattern that returns in a small, rounded shape (ko-maru).
「特徴 detailed」
雲州住貞永、本名は小林力男、昭和27年生まれ、島根県横田町在住。昭和42年小林日本刀鍛錬場入門、47年に文化庁より作刀承認を受ける。48年には新作名刀展に初出品し入選。その後、努力賞を受賞し、寒山賞も受賞するなど精力的な活動を続け、平成11年には島根県無形文化財保持者に認定される。
本作、前所有者が明倫産業にて購入された物で、居合用には使用せずコレクションとして所蔵していた物です。そのため刀身のコンディションは良いです。
また樋は無いですが重量軽くバランス良く、手持ちの感覚は最高なので、居合に使えます。
Unshu-ju Sadanaga, whose real name is Rikio Kobayashi, was born in 1952 (Showa 27) and resides in Yokota Town, Shimane Prefecture. He began his training in 1967 (Showa 42) at the Kobayashi Nihonto Forging Workshop and received his sword-making license from the Agency for Cultural Affairs in 1972 (Showa 47). In 1973 (Showa 48), he debuted at the New Sword Exhibition and was subsequently selected. Over the years, he continued to achieve recognition, including awards such as the Effort Award and the Kanzan Prize. In 1999 (Heisei 11), he was designated as a holder of Shimane Prefecture’s Intangible Cultural Property.
This particular piece was purchased by its previous owner from Meirin Sangyo and kept as part of their collection without being used for iaido practice. As a result, the blade is in excellent condition.
While the blade does not feature a groove (bohi), it is lightweight, well-balanced, and feels excellent in hand, making it suitable for iaido use.
「拵 Koshirae」
拵のコンディションは良好です。
The condition of the koshirae (mountings) is good.
ハバキ(habaki) :素銅地一重に立鑢。
The habaki is made of plain su-dou copper with a single layer and features a vertical file mark finish
(tate-yasuri).
鍔(tsuba) :鉄地、菊に勝虫の図。
The tsuba is made of iron with a design featuring chrysanthemums and a dragonfly.
縁頭(futikasira):梅花の図。
The fuchi-kashira features a design of plum blossoms.
目貫(menuki) :海老の図。
The menuki features a large design of spiny lobster.
柄(tsuka) :鮫は親粒が付き、柄糸は正絹黒の諸捻り巻。
The tsuka (handle) features samegawa (ray skin) with prominent nodules, and the tsuka-ito (handle wrapping) is
made of black silk in a hineri-maki (twisted wrap) style.
鞘(saya) :黒呂。
The saya (scabbard) has a glossy black lacquer finish (kuro-ro-nuri).

研:良好です。
傷:欠点に成るような傷は有りません。
